Teacher of Physics (January Start)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Science (Physics) to join an ambitious and forward-thinking Science Department. We are seeking a committed practitioner who can deliver engaging and challenging lessons, inspire a love of learning, and support pupils in achieving their full potential.

The successful candidate will teach Physics across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and contribute positively to the continued success of the department and wider school community.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach Science, with a specialism in Physics, to pupils across the relevant Key Stages.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports pupil progress and achievement.
• Use assessment effectively to monitor attainment and inform planning.
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour, attendance and academic expectations.
• Take an active role in enrichment activities and the wider life of the school.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or being willing to do ITT.
• Have a degree in Physics or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective teaching practice.
• Be passionate about raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing.
• Possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
